Here's something you can do with your kids when Putt Putt becomes passé (right before it's cool again)! Spring is a great time to try golf, you don't have to buy anything either! Try a public course like Woodley Lakes. You'll be able to rent clubs (approximately $2 a piece), you can start on the driving range with a bucket of balls (another couple of bucks) or head to the putting green, which is free.

Golf is a game of skill, sportsmanship and manners, so you just might love the side effects, too - you know - like . . . patience, grace under pressure, enjoying the journey rather than focusing on smashing your opponent! If you enjoy being out there in the fresh air with your family, a few instructional lessons will go a long way toward making the whole experience even more fun.
